Parking is available on the 3rd level of the Central Park parking structure (public parking area only please) located on the corner of Main and Ryman Streets. Bring the parking ticket to the Courthouse for validation. If there is no parking available in the parking structure, you may park at a metered parking space without depositing coins however, you must place the SUMMONS TO REPORT FOR JURY SERVICE (with the trial date visible) on the dashboard of the driver's side of your vehicle. In the event you receive a parking ticket for nonpayment, please give the ticket to the bailiff or bring the ticket to the Justice Court office.

Do I get paid for jury duty?

Checks for jury service will be mailed out approximately two weeks after the conclusion of the trial. You can expect to be paid as follows:

· $12.00 to appear as a potential juror
· $25.00 per day if you are selected to sit as a trial juror
· $.58 per mile (IRS standard mileage reimbursement rate) round trip mileage to the Courthouse

How do I know if I'm actually needed as a juror in the trial?

Jury trials are sometimes settled at the last minute. We will make every attempt to notify you if you do not need to appear. You may check the status of the trial for which you have been summoned to report at any time by calling our office at 406-258-3470.  If you have not been notified that the trial has been settled, you must contact the Justice Court the night before the trial at the number on your summons. If the case has not settled it is important that you report to the Missoula County Courthouse at 200 West Broadway no later than the time indicated on your summons. Failure to appear for jury service could constitute contempt of court.
